Springbrook National Park

Springbrook National Park sits approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Brisbane, in the Gold Coast hinterland. These woodlands are included in the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Site.

The park is famous for its spectacular waterfalls. These include Purling Brook Falls, Natural Bridge, Twin Falls, and Goomoolahs Falls. These cascading waterfalls offer breathtaking views and stunning photographic opportunities.

The park is abundant with a wide variety of animals. Keep your eyes peeled for native animals such as pademelons, koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, and various bird species. The park is renowned for its glowworm colonies, which can be observed during Natural Bridge night excursions.

The Natural Bridge is undoubtedly one of the most remarkable features of the park. This exceptional rock formation is the result of the powerful force of a waterfall over basalt cave formations.

The climate of Springbrook National Park is moderate and subtropical. Summers (December through February) can be warm and humid, whereas winters (June through August) are typically milder. As the park receives substantial rainfall throughout the year, it is advised to bring suitable clothing and be prepared for rain.
