The Jordan Museum is situated in Ras al-'Ayn's thriving new city. The Jordan Museum acts as a comprehensive national center for learning and information that reflects Jordan's history and culture by presenting Jordan's history and cultural heritage in a series of exquisitely designed galleries. It tells the ongoing history of Jordan's past, present, and future by showcasing the Kingdom's historic, antique, and heritage properties in an entertaining and instructive fashion. It uses visuals, more than 2,000 objects on loan from the Department of Antiquities, and specifically created materials to convey the 'Story of Jordan' chronologically and thematically. Some of the collection came from the former Archaeological Museum on the Amman fortress. It was inaugurated in 2013 and was created by the late Jordanian architect Jafar Tukan.

One of the best overviews of Jordan's history and culture can be found at this museum in the heart of Amman, where you can also see the Dead Sea Scrolls and other meticulously kept relics.

You can explore the galleries of the Jordan Museum to admire antique statues and pottery or utilize multimedia technologies to engage with the exhibits and customize your visit based on your interests.

Look for the Jordan Museum near City Hall in Ras al-central Ayn's business district. The structure you see when you enter the museum was built in 2005. The museum, however, was first conceived in the 1960s.

Take note of the museum's sleek, modern facade, which features golden columns. Ja'far Toukan, the architect of the Jordan Museum, was also responsible for many of the city's other significant structures.

Explore the stunning exhibits once you've entered to learn more about Jordan's history, which spans from its first settlers to the present. Admire the 9,500-year-old plaster mannequins, examine some Dead Sea Scrolls, and admire the works of art produced by former residents. The museum has a library with thousands of books on subjects like Jordan's history, archaeology, and education for academics who wish to use its resources. After purchasing a gift from the museum shop to give to friends and family, stop in the café to relax and enjoy a hot beverage to cap off your visit.

The Jordan Museum has a per-person entrance fee paid at the front desk upon arrival. Except on Tuesdays, the museum is open every day. Calling ahead will allow groups to schedule a special visit with a guide.
