Nestled in the lust foothills of Guimar on Tenerife, the Pyramids of Guimar are a series of six mysterious stepped structures. They are built from volcanic stone rising up to about 12 meters high. Local archives show they first appeared in records in the mid 19th century. Today, the site is preserved as the Ethnographic Park and Botanical Garden of Guimar, spanning over 64,000 meter sq. Where you can see themed walking routes, botanical displays, a museum plus a replica of Heyerdahl’s rafts.
