Many consider Old Town Square (also known as Staroměstské náměstí) in Prague the oldest, the most historically significant square in the city, and one of the most spectacular-looking squares in all of Europe. It is breathtakingly gorgeous and attractive and has served as the setting for many important historical events. The Old Town Square, which is over 9,000 square meters in size and is situated between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge, is surrounded by several fascinating historical structures.

A notable location where the history of the Bohemian countries has frequently been chronicled is Old Town Square. It is a market that lived in the 11th century and steadily gained importance until it was the most significant in the nation. Former names for the square include 'Big Square' (Velké náměstí in Czech) and 'Old Marketplace' (Staré trit).
