One of the biggest mosques in the world and a masterpiece of Islamic architecture is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Inside are mother-of-pearl engraved white marble columns, sizable Persian carpets, and elaborate crystal chandeliers. The central gallery is controlled by a chandelier that is 15 meters tall, 10 meters in diameter, and 15 tonnes in weight. With Sivec marble from Greece and Macedonia covering its outside surfaces, the mosque boasts an amazing perspective. After sunset, a remarkable lighting system that mimics the moon's phases alters the bright gold and white hue that the sun casts.

  • Pray: Worshipers are welcome to enter the Mosque during times when prayers are being said.
  • Take in the Beauty: Every area of the Grand Mosque is stunning, from the decorations to the columns. So, when you're there, be sure to explore every inch of it and take lots of pictures.
  • Take in the Sunset: The ideal way to end the tour would be to stick around and take in the sunset. Visit the Grand Mosque two times, once at night and once during the day, if at all feasible.

Observing a particular set of rules is necessary while you are within the mosque:

  • The dress code: Each visitor must be properly attired. It is inappropriate for males to wear shorts. Women must wear clothing that completely covers their bodies, and a headscarf will be given to them as they enter. In a nutshell, relaxed clothing is strongly advised.
  • It is impolite to kiss or hold hands in the mosque premises.
  • Inside the mosque, taking pictures with your companion is not permitted.

Advisory Tips:

  • Tourists might find the entire entrance process a little complicated, so it's best to be prepared in advance to save time. It may take you close to 30 minutes to enter the mosque on busy days.
  • Although there are free guided tours available, if you want a greater exploration, engage a private expert who can assist you more effectively.
  • It is forbidden to bring some items into the mosque, including food, extra batteries, cosmetics, lighters, chewing gum, high-zoom tools, telescopes, cigarettes, and alcoholic beverages.
  • To avoid extreme heat, bring sunscreen and sunglasses.
  • You must remove your shoes and go barefoot.
